About Us

Northwest Kidney Centers is a regional, not-for-profit, community-based provider of kidney dialysis, public health education, and research into the causes and treatments of chronic kidney disease. Founded in Seattle in 1962, it was the world’s first dialysis organization.

Now ranked as the third largest nonprofit dialysis provider in the country, Northwest Kidney Centers is an influential model because of its high quality services, community connections and generous donor support. Northwest Kidney Centers provides 282,600 dialysis treatments each year in 19 dialysis clinics and 8 hospitals. Its home dialysis program enables 257 patients to give themselves dialysis at home.
