Meet the Contestants

Ian de Boer, MD, Kidney Research Institute
Dr. de Boer has kidney research chops like no others. As Director of the Kidney Research Institute, he is recognized for collaboration and high-impact clinical trials. Curiosity is his superpower—and while sporting his KRI cape, there will be no stopping him. He’ll enter the stage to Led Zeppelin’s ‘Ramble On’. ‘Now’s the time’ to donate to help fund the amazing research his team does and equitable care.

Becca Cheung, UW Medicine Advancement
Becca is already warming up with some neck cracking and silent prayers. She doesn’t leave the house without a bold lip—and this contest will be no different. She’ll be dressed to the nines and ready to compete! Biggest trophy on her shelf? A photo of her and Diane, her kidney donor, outside of UW Transplant. Your donation helps fund equitable health care and kidney research – and ensures Becca will get her first choice from the liquor cabinet: gin!

Sanjit Reddy, MD, Swedish
As a transplant surgeon, Dr. Reddy is a team player all day long. But when it comes to raising money for equitable care and kidney research, he is going for gold! He loves adventure and knows it’s time to get creative beyond an ‘old-fashioned.’ He’ll be partnered with a professional mixologist behind the bar and would love your support. Your donation helps bring equitable care to underserved populations throughout the region – and will help fill the only empty spot in Sanjit’s trophy case.
